Jeremy Clarkson makes a cheeky joke about Piers Morgan on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire – and Piers’ son Spencer laughs

JEREMY Clarkson has made Piers Morgan’s son Spencer chuckle – by making a cheeky joke about his dad.

Telly stars Jeremy, 60, and 55-year-old Piers famously feuded for more than a decade and even had a fist fight at an awards ceremony.

But although they have now buried the hatchet, Jeremy wasted no time making a quip about his former arch enemy on live TV.

And it certainly raised a smile from Piers’ 26-year-old son Spencer.

During Tuesday night’s Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, a contestant was asked which show Susanna Reid was asked to present in 2014.

But although she knew the answer, which was Good Morning Britain, the lady admitted she had never watched it.

He asked if the contestant doesn’t watch GMB ‘because of Piers Morgan’

Piers’ son Spencer loved the joke

Jeremy said: “Don’t watch it because of Piers Morgan, presumably? I haven’t watched it either.”

Putting on his specs, Jeremy then swiftly moved onto the next question, which was worth £500.

The Grand Tour star’s joke certainly raised some laughs from the audience – and it appears Spencer had a good giggle too.

Taking to Twitter, he said: “Haha, never been more certain that a joke was coming in my life @JeremyClarkson @piersmorgan.”

Jeremy’s relationship with Piers soured in the early noughties, while Piers was editing a tabloid newspaper.

The newspaper ran photographs of Jeremy with a woman who was not his wife and it did not go down well with the then-Top Gear host.

It was alleged that Jeremy even threw a drink over Piers during Concorde’s final flight in 2003.

But the following year, things reached fever pitch at the British Press Awards when Jeremy punched Piers several times in the head.

Both were left with scars following the fracas and they continued to exchange bitter words for the next decade.

In 2015, however, Piers told the Oxford Union that he and Jeremy had recently decided to call a truce.

Piers, who had been invited speak at the Union, revealed: “Jeremy Clarkson and I had 10 years of war.

“It was particularly annoying that all my kids loved Top Gear.

“Eventually he texted me last summer. It was brilliantly British.

“It was at one in the morning and he just said, ‘Morgan, Clarkson here. We should end this. Drink?”

Piers added: “Then I found out that we share the same pub without realising it.

“I said,’Scarsdale? 7pm, Monday?’ He arrived on a push bike looking like he was about to die and I arrived on foot.

“I could see the locals going,’Holy f***!’ We then just got blind drunk.”
