THE BAFTA TV nominations have been announced and The Crown, Fleabag and Chernobyl lead the charge for 2020.
Sky Atlantic’s Chernobyl is top of the list with a massive 14 nominations, after critics praised the miniseries based on the 1986 nuclear disaster.

It follows in the footsteps of BBC’s Killing Eve to join the ranks of most-nominated shows in BAFTA history.
Netflix’s The Crown, which chronicles the life of Queen Elizabeth II, has received seven nominations, including Best Drama Series.
Giri/Haji, The End of the F***ing World and Gentleman Jack are also in the same category.
Fleabag, starring Phoebe Waller-Bridge, joins Giri/Haji to take six nominations each.

Top Boy, The Virtues, Sex Education and His Dark Materials have also been nominated ahead of the prestigious ceremony.
The Awards will be broadcast on BBC One on Friday July 31, 2020.
The ceremony will be hosted by Richard Ayoade.
In accordance with current restrictions, the Awards will take place in a closed studio, with winners invited to accept their awards virtually.
