EMMERDALE’S Liam Fox has revealed that coronavirus could “dramatically change” all of the characters’ storylines after the soap finally resumed filming last week.
The 50-year-old actor plays Dan Spencer in the ITV show, and admitted that he wasn’t entirely sure what is in store for his character.

Dan was last seen heading to London for physiotherapy after a severe allergy left him confined to a wheelchair.
Appearing on Good Morning Britain earlier today, the star told Lorraine Kelly: “Dan is obviously going to come back, he’s been in London for his physiotherapy, which nicely timed with my honeymoon.
“I guess it kind of depends on the virus, which is going to effect storylines and where everything goes.
“There will be plans for everybody, but we are going to have to take baby steps and whatever plans are for six months for any character could change dramatically.
“But as far as I know, this story could go on for quite a while – it should go on for a good few months.”

All British soaps suspended filming in March due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, with social distancing guidelines and lockdown at the time making it impossible for production to continue.
Liam went on a break from the show in February, but revealed that he will be back on set in a few weeks to pick up where his character left off.
Emmerdale was the first soap to resume filming after lockdown rules loosened, with the stars returning last week – and Liam has insisted that the cast and crew are incredibly well protected on set.
He said: “There’s loads of measures in place, they are doing so much to make it a safe environment for everybody.

“From what I know from people back there already, it sounds like it’s as safe as it possibly could be.
“The biggest danger would be getting a coffee on the way to work, which I won’t be doing.”
Pictures obtained by The Sun Online previously showed the level of precaution ITV bosses are taking to ensure the smooth running of the soap, which includes going through a medical screening tent where their health will be assessed before continuing to the set.
There are also signs reminding staff to stay two metres away from each other and a queuing system are in place.

Coronation Street is the next soap expected to resume filming, with production kicking off next week after cast and crew attended a safety induction on Monday.
Meanwhile, EastEnders has confirmed The Sun Online’s report that it will go off air in just two weeks time as plans for filming to start up again are yet to be finalised.
