FIRST Dates Hotel had viewers in tears tonight after it brought back one of their successful couples and they ended up getting engaged.
Getting cosy on the cabana sofas by the pool Julian popped the question to Vanessa and presented her with a stunning sapphire – which she promptly dropped and lost on the floor.

Holding hands on the sofas, Julian told Vanessa that he wanted to mark the occasion of where they’d come to by buying her a little present.
Looking nervous, Vanessa tried to hide her giggles as Julian told her he had something for her in a box.
After beating around the bush for a bit, Julian said: “Basically, what I’m trying to say is, Vanessa, I know you like sapphires… and I know you’d like me to go down on one knee, and ask you – will you marry me?”
Overwhelmed, Vanessa replied: “Yes of course I will. I can’t think of anything I’d love better.”

Viewers were in bits and flocked to Twitter to share their feelings.
One wrote: “That proposal was the highlight of my week, what an absolutely adorable couple”
“omg I thought they’d brought these 2 back as swingers ……..& he proposed Haha”
“Vanessa & Julian on #firstdateshotel I’m not crying. You’re crying”

Later on while talking about the proposal to the cameras Vanessa, who might have been a bit tipsy from the free champagne host Fred gave them, dropped the precious stone on the floor.
After frantically getting on their knees to search for the rock, Julian found it on the floor and carefully packed it away before Vanessa could lose it again.
Fans originally fell in love with the couple, who first appeared on the show in 2018, when Vanessa sobbed at the table after getting a call about her dying cat.
After the vet called and broke the news that little Tabby didn’t have long in this world, Vanessa burst into tears.
Julian came round and hugged her and despite the bad news the pair went on to have a wonderful date before canoodling under the cabana.
After their date, the pair ended up sitting in a cabana by the pool and pulled a blanket over them as they got cosy.
