UFC star Devin Clark took a knee and raised his fist in the build-up to his UFC 250 clash in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
The 30-year-old was preparing to take on Alonzo Menifield in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the behind-closed-doors pay-per-view event when he made the stand.
The American light-heavyweight squatted down and took a moment to reflect as Bruce Buffer read out his name and 11-4 MMA record.
He went on to win the bout by unanimous decision, with the judges scoring the fight 30-27, 29-28, 29-28.
The UFC ace was then rushed to hospital straight away, to have a check-up on an eye injury which he had picked up.
Thousands of TV viewers took to social media to show their support to Clark taking a stand ahead of his scrap.
One said: “He’s earned a new fan. What a man!”
Another added: “Secured with a win too. Great start to UFC 250 there.”
And one commented: “Why people have Problem with this is beyond me? Great stand.”
Clark also raised his first in support of the Black Lives Matter movement along with his team after securing the win.
MMA reporter Heidi Fang later revealed: “Devin Clark was transported to the hospital after the fight to get his eye looked at.
“So he won’t be doing media tonight.”
